JMR Solicitors are thrilled to have been shortlisted as one of the finalists in the Services to Law category at the 6th British Muslim Awards 2018. The event honours the success, achievements and contributions to society by British Muslims as individuals, groups and businesses.
JMR Solicitors was founded in Cheadle (Manchester) in 2011 with just two founding partners; the business has since recruited and is standing firm at five members of staff. In 2015, The Times described the business as Britain’s fastest-growing, female- led small business! The firm, in the market town of Cheadle, Cheshire, has gone from a personal injury specialist to a general practice since it started, a decision led by the founders’ dreams of global growth.
Marium Razzaq, was one of the finding partners of JMR Solicitors and feels a sense of achievement over the past six years of being in business, as she says:
“I feel proud of everything JMR Solicitors has achieved over the years. I love what I do and business growth is vital in such a competitive market.
Looking back, we’ve come a long way and really excelled in our work. We have successfully won cases against well know entities such as eBay (a trademark infringement case) and are currently representing a boxer with Type 1 Diabetes who the British Board of Boxing and Control are refusing to give his licence to. If approved, this will be a revelation in UK Sports Law.”
