What is conveyancing?
Conveyancing is the legal work necessary to ensure that the transfer of legal ownership between buyer and seller of a property is correctly documented, and attained. It also includes the carrying out of essential searches and investigations that ensure that the seller legally owns the property being sold and that the buyer takes the property without any unforeseen limitations.
What is the process to instruct us for your conveyancing?
Call JMR Solicitors, either on 0161 491 3933, fill out our online conveyancing form, or visit our Manchester office in person to get your conveyancing in motion. Our accommodating conveyancing solicitors will then lead you through the initial stages, and once your conveyancing file is in progress your conveyancing solicitor and their team will deal with the legal aspects of the conveyancing transaction.
You’ll be given a direct contact hereafter for your conveyancing matters and they’ll keep in touch with you every step of the way.
Whether you’re moving to Manchester or away from Manchester our conveyancing team can help you complete the whole moving, buying and selling a property process with the minimum of fuss and inconvenience.
Should I get a survey carried out on the property?
JMR Solicitors would recommend that you have a survey (as well as the obligatory mortgage valuation). The mortgage valuation will be done on behalf of your mortgage lender to confirm for them that the property is worth what you are paying for it, but will not necessarily find any defects or problems with the property.
A Homebuyer Report or Structural Survey will go into greater detail. You should instruct a surveyor who is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Ask us for advice if you need more information.
